A search for something more

To create. It seems to be an inherent characteristic within humanity. We create our arts, businesses, technology, communities, and countless other forms of expression. What does a person hope to accomplish by creating? Some may create out of necessity. They will learn to create something from almost nothing because their circumstances demand it. Others may create because they have a burning desire to express themselves in ways words alone struggle to capture. Some see a problem that needs to be solved, and it requires them to develop something new to add value to their communities. Whatever the reason, creation has always been part of human experience.

We live in a time where humanity has access to powerful technology that enables us to express and explore our interests much more than ever before. So much information in the palm of many individuals’ hands. Access to the internet. A vast collection of webpages that made a small world even smaller. Millions of people may connect across physical and invisible borders via a short email, text, or video call almost instantly. Be that as it may, have we used that technology to become more connected or create more division among us?

Throughout my own journey, I have learned that knowledge is only the beginning. The true value of learning comes from our ability to understand, apply, and share what we discover. My experiences shaped the way I view the world and led me to ask a simple question: How can we use knowledge to build better lives and contribute something meaningful to the world around us? ItsTwolffG is my attempt to contribute something positive toward that question. It represents a journey of lifelong learning, exploring the connections between business, technology, culture, and personal growth. The goal was never to create a place that simply provides more information. The goal was to create a place where information could become understanding, and understanding could become action.

Life is an adventure

Computing has changed tremendously since the late 1970s. It continues to advance our ability to collect, store, create, and distribute information in ways that would have been unimaginable throughout most of human history. What once required large systems and specialized knowledge can now be accessed by billions of people through devices that fit into our hands. There is no shortage of information for us to consume. Thanks to the advancements in technology, we can learn almost anything, communicate with people across the globe, and encounter perspectives from countless cultures and experiences. The internet, social media, and artificial intelligence have created a hyper-connected world where information is constantly available. With so much information available, it can sometimes become difficult to understand what truly matters and how we should apply what we learn.

Yet despite this connection, many people still struggle with questions about purpose and direction. The challenge we face today is not simply a lack of information. The challenge is understanding how to organize that information, think critically about it, and use it to create a meaningful life. Information gives us awareness, but wisdom requires reflection, experience, and the ability to apply what we have learned.

In Search of a Vision

I’ve had the opportunity to experience different environments that helped to shape how I view knowledge and learning. My military experience taught me the importance of discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and service. My experiences in information technology showed me how systems influence the way people solve problems. Completing my business degree expanded my understanding of leadership, organizations, and the importance of connecting different areas of knowledge. Each experience gave me another piece of the puzzle.

I’ve come to believe that our experiences become more valuable when we share what they teach us. Learning isn’t simply about the collection of information; it also includes discovering new ways to contribute. ItsTwolffG was created to share lessons, ideas, and perspectives with one another. We all experience the world differently. Our backgrounds influence what we notice, value, question, and create. Each unique perspective has its value.

Building a Foundation

A solid foundation can help to reduce the noise created by the constant flow of information around us. Without a strong foundation, it becomes easy to lose direction when faced with endless distractions, opportunities, and expectations. ItsTwolffG is a lifelong learning platform focused on exploring the connections between business, technology, culture, and personal growth. Through digital publishing, educational resources, and shared conversations, the goal is to create a place where people can learn, reflect, and grow together. Whether it’s a personal project or a new business venture, business concepts can be used to create something meaningful. Technology reveals how innovation and adaptability can enable people to learn new skills in a changing world. Lastly, culture helps to shine a light on the history and experiences of other people and how we all shape the world around us. These three areas became the foundation of ItsTwolffG because they represent three important questions:

We can do this with writing, entrepreneurship, skill development, helping others, and sharing ideas that inspire growth. ItsTwolffG exists to encourage people to become active participants in their own growth and in the world around them.
